DMCA & Repeat-Infringer Policy

Version dmca-policy-v1 · Last updated: June 2026 — draft pending legal review

1. Scope

This policy applies to content distributed through Thumper-Run's cloud catalog and sync services. Content you run locally on your own hardware is not subject to it.

2. Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe content distributed through Thumper-Run infringes a copyright you own or control, send a written notice to our designated agent at our support center. A valid notice must identify the work, identify the material claimed to be infringing, include your contact information, and contain the statements required by the DMCA (§512(c)(3)).

3. Counter-Notification

If your content was removed and you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notice through the support center. Eligible content is restored after the statutory waiting period unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action.

4. Repeat Infringers

Thumper-Run maintains, and reasonably implements, a policy of suspending or terminating — in appropriate circumstances — the cloud access of users who are repeat copyright infringers. A suspension functions as termination of access to the cloud catalog and sync services; the free local desktop application is unaffected and continues to run on your own hardware.

Copyright strikes age out over time. The specific thresholds and rolling window we apply are administered internally and may be adjusted.

5. Appeals & Account Standing

A suspended user may appeal through the support center and can review their current standing at /account/suspended.

6. Contact
